Four weeks into the 2012 study year and I actually feel like I’m ahead of the game, which is a nice way to feel at this level. I’m well on top of my assessments and even have some breathing space! No time for complacency though, so back to the grind stone.
I have uploaded a couple more pieces of work today, ‘The No Brand Argument – Pumpkin Patch’ and ‘Marketing Campaign – Candleman Snowboards’. Have a read and please feel free to leave your thoughts and comments.
Check out this cutting from the latest Unitec print campaign (New Beginnings). A little bit of my story.
The final installment of the Vans New Zealand papers (Marketing Communications Strategy) has now been uploaded. Navigate to ‘Marketing Papers’ if you are interested in reading this work.
Summer school kicked off yesterday with an Operational Management paper, Project Management. This is an intense course, completing a full paper in just three weeks! Is going to be pretty full on with three 7hr sessions and two sizable assessments.
In a couple of weeks I will be starting a second summer school paper, Accounting for Business… A glutton for punishment!
As papers are completed I will upload them right here for your reading pleasure. 🙂 Please feel free to leave me your thoughts and comments.
Have a safe and happy Christmas where ever you may be.
After completing my first semester at Unitec I was very excited but surprised to be invited to the 2011 Grad Show to receive the annual academic prize for excellence in marketing. Having my work recognised this early in my academic journey is both an honour and an encouraging sign, reassuring me that I am in fact on the right path towards achieving my academic goals.
Guest speaker for the evening was Mitch Olson, co-founder of Small Worlds. Mitch presented an amusing, but profound insight into his view on life, and how best to balance life’s necessities with living a happy and meaningful life, while achieving the most out of everything that we do.
Thank you to Unitec for hosting a fantastic evening.
Well the first semester is done and dusted and I’m enjoying a short break before venturing back for summer school. I have worked hard and have really enjoyed my learning experience so far, and have been rewarded with very good marks in my assignment work. Course grades should be out in the next couple of weeks so I look forward to seeing how I have done overall.
I have uploaded another marketing paper today and will add more over the next week or so.
Happy reading and please feel free to comment on my work.
Well it’s certainly been a journey so far! Five weeks down and I’m loving learning. There’s no denying that it’s full on and it’s definitley no walk in the park, but the enormous sense of achievement I felt after knocking out my first three assignments is certainly a feeling that I think I can get used to.
If you go to the top of the screen, next to the ‘Home’ menu you’ll see a ‘Marketing Papers’ menu. Hover over this tab and my assignment work will be revealed. Take a look, have a read, and feel free to leave your thoughts and comments.
17 years after leaving high school I am once again a student, this time however by choice. Unitec Auckland will be my learning hub for the next couple of years imbedding into me fresh knowledge and fresh ideas, as well as offering me the tools required to succeed in this fast-moving world of business.
Throughout my journey of learning I will be posting my work right here for you to see. Every few weeks you will have the opportunity to gain an insight into the way I see the business world. For the first two semesters I will be focusing my energies into marketing. Feel free to comment, like or critique my work as well as tracking my learning progress as my knowledge and understanding grows.
I look forward to sharing this space with you and hope that you enjoy reading my work as much as I enjoy creating it.
